The Pinstripe Blazer
On January 7, 2021 by diellepike
I am no talking about Yankees pinstripe jerseys or the Pinstripe game that lots of kids love. I am talking about the pinstripe blazer that will be a staple in your wardrobe forever. The pinstripe suit came into being around the end of the nineteenth century and has been in fashion pretty much ever since. Originally made famous by stylish Brits, the suit would become increasingly popular throughout the globe as men (and later, women) and now myself. They wanted to project an image of sophistication and class through their suit choice.
My passion for blazer has been since I was 15 years old. I remember having one made by one of my neighbors, who was is an excellent tailor. She taught me to sew blouses and skirts. Anyway, this is a topic for another post.
Let’s talk about the pinstripe oversized blazer from Song of Style. I am such a fan of Aimee Song as a person and her clothing collection as well. Of all the bloggers that started their clothing brand, Song of Style is my favorite. I already have some items of her collection on my wishlist. ( Like always, lol)
I have got the Dollie Blazer and Viola Pant from her last collection, and I have been obsessed.
I wore and felt that I was wearing the suit from Celine Spring 2021 Runway. It’s soft but at same time very tailored. Just makes you feel so good wearing it.
Aime Song does a beautiful job choosing the right textile, cut, trends, and still affordable prices. All her pieces are so elegant and modern. She also made a dress and a cropped top in pinstripe that are a must.
Below are how I styled the blazer. This outfit below I styled with a strapless bodysuit by NBD, a pair of patent leather boots with block heels that I have for a couple of years now. This one by Schutz is similar. I wore it for my Oath Ceremony, and yes, I am American now.😄
The pants are lined.
In this second outfit, I wanted to play with wearing relaxed straight leg jeans (which will be all over this year), a black bodysuit by Superdown, a baseball hat, a baguette bag, and my Doc Martens Jadon.

I have seen Pinstripes in Max Mara, Saint Laurent Alexander McQueen, Chloé, Celine, Maison Margiela, Loewe, and more.
This blazer is a statement piece for any wardrobe.
What outfit you liked the most?
